The circle frame is embellished with three thistles each with a faux pearl bead blossom, a beloved Scottish motif; the frame’s back entry with easel-back hinge and spring-tension wire fitted into curved prongs, English-made in the late 19th Century, 3 ¾ x 3 × 2 inches.
