Mexican Tin Frame

This is an early to mid-20th century tin frame made in Mexico, embossed with floral and star shapes and flourishes. The well-rusted tin plated steel or iron has been lightly gilded on the front. The mechanism for holding the image appears to have been more recently soldered and fortified. The frame is perfect for the vintage chromolithograph of the Madonna and Child, (which can be replaced). 5 ¾ x 8 ½ inches’; the window is 3 ½ x 4 inches, and includes a pane of glass.
