Based on the colors and the shape of the nose, this is a retablo in the style of Jose de Gracia Gonzales, a santero who was active in Northern New Mexico 1861-1873, and who painted the altar screen the San Jose de Gracia Church in Las Trampas, NM, and The Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco, NM, among others.
