Crow Kachina is one of the warrior Kachinas who appear in the late Spring dances. They fight with the clowns to keep them in line, punishing the ones who make too much trouble. He has crow wings on the sides of his headdress, a black or gray mask with blue facial markings, and a pointy beak. Circa 1990s, this doll is made of piñon wood, feathers, paint and string, signed on the bottom of the feet, 14 ½ inches tall.

Chester Poleyestewa carves his kachinas in the Traditional Old Style, using cottonwood and simple figures, using natural mineral pigments, feathers and other materials for the details.
