The Giant Ogre kachina Chaveyo and his wife Hahai-i-Wuhti are the parents of the dreaded Ogre kachinas (the Nataskas) and as such he is the master disciplinarian of all the Hopis, making sure that everyone behaves in an acceptable way or he will punish them. During the ceremonies, he means business with his fearsome black mask, large bulging eyes and long toothy snout. He looks for anyone who is misbehaving and chases them and threatens them with his hefty dagger and yucca whip.
