A little three-inch tall Hopi Mudhead Koyemsi kachina with rudimentary feet, from the 1930s. Hopi Mudheads lead the kachinas into the plaza during the dances beating drums and calling out. The mudhead kachinas are clownlike, but are also healers, warriors, middlemen, and disciplinarians.
