Clifford Kim Fragua (born 1957) is part of an illustrious family of potters from Jemez Pueblo in Northwest Central New Mexico. His very collectible works include bowls, vases, animals, storyteller figures, and Nativity Scenes This charming pair, a smiling cow with a cattle egret catching a ride, have lively attenuated lines, outspread wings, a swishing tail and swaying udders, the cow has line-hatched textured mane, forelock and neck. Signed “Clifford K. Fragua” on the belly, made with clay and mineral pigments, the sculpture is 2 ½ inches wide, 5 ¼ inches tall, and 5 ½ inches deep.
